Abstract:

Open to all artists and mediums.  Digital photographs/images are required.

 

Showcasing images of works by international artists from across the world.  Artwork will be tokenized using new Blockchain Tech, making the exhibition interactive with viewers able to purchase work digitally

The purpose of this exhibition is to introduce new artists and collectors to this new medium.  No blockchain experience required!

50 Moganshan Road or M50 (莫干山路50号) is a contemporary art district in Shanghai, China that houses a thriving community of more than a hundred artists studios.  It is often compared with New York’s SoHo and Beijing’s 768 Art Zone.  The art section has become a cultural attraction for international visitors, and was named among the top ten things to do in Shanghai by Time Magazine.

 

Description: 

New Phenomenon and art medium: Crypto-Art.  Artworks can be traded and sold digitally, with ownership recorded on an online ledger known as the (blockchain).  This is a brand new cutting edge movement in art, and allows participants to buy and sell digital artwork with a simple device such as their cell phones.  Blockchain group start-ups have exploded in the past few years, and the market of art is no exception: with many new and old artists hitting the scene.  This is an amazing opportunity to expand to an international audience with the exploding art scene in Shanghai, China.  For our first show we will be located in the M50 Art district, the gallery host is well established and centrally located at the entrance of the district.  This is a famous tourist destination for art lovers who come to Shanghai from all over the world.  Your work will be exhibited to an international cutting-edge group, that is pulling old and new investors alike from around the world without geo restrictions thanks to blockchain tech.  The purpose of this exhibition will be to exhibit established blockchain artists, and incorporate new artists into the digital ecosystem, as well as to educate and introduce the audience.

 

Enter our show featuring digital art on the blockchain Entrants submit three high quality files (under 10 mb) of original work. All styles of artwork Photography/painting/gifs are acceptable as long as the work is digital!  All works will be tokenized on the blockchain for exhibition, This call is international, open to all geographical locations.  This is an amazing opportunity to showcase your talent in a new medium, on the block-chain in a bustling art-focused district in Shanghai China.  

 

Prize Pool:

3 selected prizes be awarded as a purchase and acquired by the Shanghai Crypto Edition with funds reserved from the entry pool, and put on display on CryptoArts.org.

CryptoArts.org announces its grand opening with an open call for our digital show in house and online featuring digital art on the blockchain. Entrants submit three JPEG/GIF files of original work. All styles where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable. This call is international, open to all geographical locations.

There is a small entry fee.  This is a nonprofit adventure, please support us and each other

Submission Rules:
Registration and submission are done through our web site only.  If you would perferr to send an email submission, is fine as well, just attached screen shot of payment.  Please do not send physical materials to us, this is a digital call only.

 

This submission process is meant to be flexible, because this is a new and challenging tokenizing process that can create barriers for new artists.  We are offering a complete tokenization service for your submission, just submit the images to us with a link through our submission website here:  and we will personally take care of the rest!  After your work is submitted, digital artwork will be hand tokenized by us with a ERC-721 compatable Ethereum standard token created specifically for this event.  This tokenization of your work can add much value to your work as a new crypto-asset! Sales of Artwork:
All artwork will be offered for sale. Physical Gallery retains 10% of all sales(prices subject to change) during physical in house exhibition.  Other NFT platforms charge their own separate fees.   Keep in mind this is a work in progress, and blockchain is new brand new technology. We are still in the process of figuring out these logistics and The Opensea marketplace is still being built. The Opensea marketplace for this ERC-721 will be written to share appropriately with artists on physical gallery location and costs, and sale revenue that will need to be shared with the gallery keeping in mind further royalties if possible.  Artists retain ownership of all unsold works. All artwork remains the intellectual property of the artist. Artist agrees to allow use of their images for promotional purposes only.  Artworks may be left in the Crypto Art Ecosystem tokenized, and will be available for-sale on Opensea or other freely exchangable with other NFT collectable ecosystems indefinitely for future possible shows and sales.

Create a ETH wallet, such as Trust wallet or Rainbow wallet available on the app stores, and your NFT tokenized artwork will be delivered to your wallet.  If you would consider donating a piece of artwork to the cause, it would be awesome! Allowing us to create more future events and showcase your work continually in this new medium. 

Gallery Information:
CryptoArts.org is a newly established chapter of Blockchain Art.  It will knock your socks off.  It is dedicated to the propagation of all forms of digital art, international, emerging and established artists.  Working currently in tandem with cooperating organizations in Shanghai China.
